However, my Android phone usually keeps the charge at an indicated 80% or thereabouts. I'm not sure that charging to 95% is any healthier for the battery than charging to 100%. That will bring you into the music menu. First option will be "Music Providers". Go into that menu option. On my watch I only have music I have moved over so it gives me two options in this menu, "My Music" and "Control Music on Phone". Tap the "My Music" menu option. That should fix it. To be honest I was frustrated with the product. I thought surely this must be a hardware issue with the watch. I was ready to ditch Garmin products for the Apple Watch, despite being a loyal Garmin watch customer for a long time. Even though my watch was out of warranty, I gave Garmin Support a call. They had me take a photo of the charging cable.
(For example, I've seen this happen when powering an Arduino.) Garmin watches charge at low power, so it's likely that some power packs will power down before charging completes. I can imagine that leading Garmin to simply recommend using a plug-in charger.-- Pete
